Kögel and Horizon Trailers announce exclusive partnership for Ireland and the UK

Kögel Trailer GmbH is pleased to announce an exclusive distribution partnership with Horizon Trailers. The Dublin-based company was founded in 2024 and exclusively distributes Kögel's high-quality trailers in Ireland and the UK. Together, the two companies aim to establish the Kögel brand in these key markets and build a strong sales and service network.

As part of its strategic expansion plans in Europe, Kögel Trailer GmbH has specifically strengthened its market position in Ireland and the UK. Following a comprehensive market analysis and successful pilot orders, Horizon Trailers decided to enter into an exclusive distribution partnership with Kögel, which was contractually sealed in 2024. Although Horizon Trailers was only recently founded, the company's management brings decades of expertise in the commercial vehicle sector to the partnership.

Experienced team with ambitious goals

The Horizon Trailers team consists of experienced transportation industry professionals with extensive expertise in sales, finance and business development. Working closely with Kögel, Horizon Trailers is pursuing ambitious goals, including sustainable growth in both the new vehicle and after market segments. In the medium term, the partners are aiming for a market share of at least 10 % in Ireland and the UK.

To achieve this goal, Horizon Trailers is planning to build up a comprehensive dealer and service network to ensure optimum customer support. The focus is on key sectors such as international and national goods transportation, particularly in the areas of pharmaceutical, agricultural and food logistics. The product portfolio includes Kögel refrigerated vehicles as well as Kögel box and curtainsider trailers. While market entry will initially take place in Ireland, activities in Great Britain will also be pursued in parallel.
