In total 147,232 parcels, 260 helpers, 33 trucks, 6 buses and 10 escort vehicles are on their way to Romania and have crossed the border without incident. All over Germany, children have lovingly packed parcels with toys, crayons, children's clothes in good condition and hygiene articles - many of them with a personal Christmas greeting.
The Christmas parcel convoy is a joint initiative by several charitable organizations, led by the Round Table Foundation Germany and the Ladies' Circle Germany. Many volunteers such as the drivers Mr. Vogel and Mr. Schmidt make the implementation possible.
