In a large-scale LED purchasing project, the ecobility GmbH modernized the lighting at the Burtenbach production site.
The focus was on structured implementation during ongoing operations:
- Replacement of several thousand conventional luminaires with highly efficient LED solutions
- Integration of needs-based lighting control
- Implementation in stages and closely coordinated with production
The result in figures:
- Electricity consumption for lighting has been reduced by more than two thirds, depending on the operating mode
- CO₂ emissions fall by approximately the same amount
- The maintenance costs are significantly lower
The project is also economically convincing:
The payback period for the lighting system is around three years, depending on the electricity price.
Rising energy prices further shorten this period.
This project shows how energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and operational reliability can be successfully combined even in complex production environments.
Many thanks to the ecobility GmbH team for their professional cooperation!
