First place in the second round of the season for the BFS Trucksport Team
Last weekend the team competed for the sixth time in Montalieu-Vercieu, France. The terrain and the plugged sections in the excavation training area were ideal to prove the skills of the team. The weather was very good and more than 15,000 spectators made the pilgrimage to Montalieu-Vercieu for the Pentecost run. As in previous years, the run started with a parade through the small French town on Friday evening. As always, the mood of the spectators was overwhelming.
After finishing third in the first race, the team can now celebrate its first victory in the 2018 season. This weekend everything worked perfectly, both driver and co-driver could prove their nerves and courage, the vehicle withstood all demands without problems. Under these conditions, a victory with as few penalty points as never before was achieved in the end.
The next race is scheduled for June 16-17, 2018 in Oleggio, Italy! Last year the team was able to celebrate third place in this race, despite Marc Stegmaier's broken hand! We at Kögel keep our fingers crossed and wish you an ongoing successful season after this sensational weekend!
