Two strong SOLUTRANS premieres: Kögel presents innovative trailers for the construction industry and refrigerated transport
At SOLUTRANS 2025 in Lyon, Kögel Trailer GmbH will be presenting the newly developed KÖGEL MULDEN-KIPPER and the revolutionary KÖGEL COOL Liteshell, the new generation refrigerated vehicle with unique panel technology, for the first time outside of Germany. Kögel will also be presenting a version of the KÖGEL CARGO tailored to the needs of French customers. With these innovations, Kögel is underlining its commitment to efficient, sustainable and practical transport solutions. SOLUTRANS will take place from November 18 to 22.
With the new KÖGEL MULDEN-KIPPER, Kögel is expanding its portfolio for the construction industry and the waste disposal sector with a trailer that impresses with a particularly favorable tare weight to payload ratio. The basic version of the three-axle trailer has an unladen weight from around 5,200 kilograms - around 600 kilograms less than comparable vehicles. It is optionally equipped with a 24 m³ or 27 m³ body, which is made entirely of wear-resistant sheet steel and is now welded in one piece. Its smooth inner surface minimizes dirt deposits and makes cleaning easier; the tipping angle of 49 degrees ensures fast and efficient unloading without material residues.
Thanks to its low center of gravity, the body gives the vehicle a high level of stability. The newly developed, torsion-resistant steel chassis and the short wheelbase guarantee optimum handling and high load capacity. An integrated roof system protects the load while driving and can be operated manually or electrically. Thanks to its robust steel construction, the KÖGEL MULDEN-KIPPER is particularly suitable for transporting abrasive materials such as sand, gravel or asphalt.
KÖGEL COOL Liteshell: uniquely light and outstandingly sustainable
The second highlight presented by Kögel is the KÖGEL COOL LITESHELL. With this trailer, Kögel is setting new standards in temperature-controlled transport - in terms of tare weight, insulating effect and durability. The new refrigerated vehicle is 700 kilograms lighter than the previous Kögel Cool. The innovative lightweight construction concept is based on the specially developed LITESHELL panel technology, in which the superstructure elements consist of polyurethane rigid foam blocks and a top layer of glass fiber mats with a top layer of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The steel top layer, which was previously standard on the market and led to a comparatively high weight, is no longer required. The use of glass fiber-reinforced cross beams in the floor instead of the conventional wooden cross beams significantly improves the insulation effect of the structure.
This ensures constant temperature control and maximum product safety. The lower unladen weight of the KÖGEL COOL LITESHELL saves around 0.3 l/100 km and reduces CO2-emissions by 0.8 g/km. When fully loaded, every 32nd journey can be saved. This contributes to a noticeable reduction in environmental impact and cuts operating costs. For its revolutionary concept, the cooler was already awarded the International Trailer Award (ITA) in the „Concept“ category in 2024 as an outstanding sustainable transport solution.
KÖGEL CARGO with reinforced floor: Trailer especially for the French market
At SOLUTRANS, Kögel will also be exhibiting a version of the KÖGEL CARGO specially tailored to the needs of French customers. This has a particularly resistant omega-profile wooden floor. The individual wooden segments are inserted lengthways in the trailer between omega-shaped steel profiles. If damaged, the wooden planks can be replaced individually. In addition, this floor offers 8.0 instead of 7.2 tons of forklift axle pressure as standard. This means that even a heavy forklift truck can drive from the rear into the trailer to load it without causing undue wear.
With these three strong, practical and sustainable transport solutions, Kögel is demonstrating its innovative strength and consistent focus on the needs of international customers at SOLUTRANS - in line with the company's motto „Economy meets Ecology - Because we care“. Visitors to the Kögel stand D086 in Hall 4 will be able to see this for themselves.
