Yusen Logistics (Czech) relies on Kögel Trailer and buys intermodal trailers
The successful partnership between Yusen Logistics (Czech) and Kögel Trailer is based on the Japanese Kaizen principle. Kögel Trailer convinced the multinational logistics company with Japanese roots through continuous improvements in terms of customized transport solutions and the project-based approach practiced by Kögel Trailer. Yusen Logistics (Czech) provides forwarding services in the areas of road, rail, air and sea freight, warehousing and customs clearance. The company specializes in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.
At the end of February, a delegation from Yusen Logistics (Czech) visited the Kögel plant in Burtenbach to take delivery of some of the completed units from a total of 50 trailers from the Kögel Mega Rail series ordered by Yusen Logistics (Czech). Of the 300 trailers that Yusen Logistics (Czech) has in operation in the Czech Republic alone, around 80 percent are from Kögel. Dalibor Hofmann, Head of Contract Logistics at Yusen Logistics (Czech), was particularly impressed by the uncomplicated implementation of special customer requests and the outstanding intermodality of the Kögel Mega Rails.
Innovation as the key to success
As a long-standing customer of Kögel Trailer, Yusen Logistics (Czech) particularly appreciates its innovative approach. The ideas for these innovations mostly come from discussions that Yusen Logistics (Czech) has with its customers. These are then passed on to the Kögel Trailer team and, if possible, implemented directly. The high degree of individuality and flexibility at Kögel are just two of the reasons why Yusen Logistics (Czech) has opted for a partnership with Kögel Trailer today and will continue to do so in the future. "The adaptations that Kögel Trailer makes to meet our requirements set not only Yusen Logistics but also Kögel apart from the competition," says Frantisek Klivan, Head of Sales & Marketing at Yusen Logistics (Czech). The automotive industry is one of the key sectors that Yusen Logistics (Czech) in the Czech Republic supplies with products from all over Europe. The Kögel Mega Rail is particularly suitable for complex supply chains, as it has a continuous internal height of three meters and intermodal equipment for rail and short sea shipping, which makes it possible to transport trailers as unaccompanied transport units. The trailer is characterized by maximum loading volume, high stability and a long service life. The adaptations made to the trailers by Kögel also help to ensure that the driver and load reach their destination safely and efficiently.
