Double victory for Kögel: Focus Money again names Kögel the commercial vehicle manufacturer with the best reputation

Once again this year, the renowned business magazine Focus Money has named Kögel the reputation winner in its major Germany test and awarded it the rating "outstanding". This means that Kögel leads the Trucks & Commercial Vehicles category for the second time in a row.

It has never been easier than today to gather information about companies and products on the Internet, social media and online forums. It is clearly a difficult undertaking to derive a reliable judgment about the quality of the company and its offering from the immense amount of information. As part of the major Germany Test, scientists from the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF), commissioned by the renowned business magazine Focus Money, set themselves the task of determining the reputation winner of an industry.

To do this, the IMWF experts first collected online content about industrial companies using a so-called social listening study and then evaluated its tonality. In order to analyze the positive and negative statements in relation to the fields of employer, sustainability, profitability, product & service and management, they used artificial intelligence methods.

Around 20 million mentions analyzed

Over the course of a year, the IMWF identified and assigned around 20 million mentions to a good 20,000 companies in this way. In total, the researchers examined several hundred million public sources for their tonality and reach. Accordingly, the most positively rated company in an industry received the full score of 100 points. The others were rated in relation to the class winner. In the Trucks & Commercial Vehicles category, Kögel placed first again this year after 2022, ahead of well-known, globally active vehicle manufacturers such as Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Daimler Truck and Traton, and received the rating "outstanding" for this.
