electric tractor-trailers and cross-industry applications. The vehicle is based on the proven KÖGEL MEGA and combines lightweight construction, efficiency, and optimal load distribution into a tailor-made solution for electric heavy-duty transport.
Electric tractors alter the weight distribution of the train due to their batteries. The additional weight places a strain primarily on the drive axle. Although EU Directive 96/53/EC allows for an increased total train weight of up to 42 metric tons for electric tractors (compared to 40 metric tons for diesel-powered tractors), the axle load limits remain unchanged and must still be adhered to. This enables the coils to be lashed down particularly quickly. COILFIX allows the coils to be secured securely and stably without damaging the load.

Your trailer’s real-time location, coupling status, EBS data, door opening status, interior temperature, refrigeration unit operating mode, and setpoints—this and much more data can be displayed via the KÖGEL Telematics Connectivity database in the KÖGEL Telematics web portal and other fleet management systems.
