High-quality, robust and efficient: TQM expands its fleet with additional Kögel Mega trailers
The Czech transport and logistics service provider TQM is expanding its fleet. To this end, the internationally operating forwarding company has purchased Kögel Mega trailers. TQM chose the Kögel trailers for their high quality and durability, as well as their benefits in terms of transport efficiency.
In order to meet rising demand for transport solutions, the Czech company TQM from Opava, which has been active on the market for over 70 years and has almost 400 employees, is further expanding its extensive vehicle fleet. The order of ten Kögel Mega trailers was preceded by a requirements analysis. “As a transport and logistics service provider, we encounter different requirements every day. It is important to us that we can guarantee our business partners a first-class transport service, while efficiently utilising the available loading area. Kögel Mega trailers enable precisely that,” explains Svatopluk Kříž, Director of the Goods Transport division at TQM and confirms: “By doing so, Kögel fulfils its company promise: ‘Economy meets Ecology’.”
According to Svatopluk Kříž, the Mega trailers allow the three-metre loading height to be fully utilised along the entire loading length. Kögel Mega offers three metres of clear internal height along the entire loading width, thanks to the L-shaped roof strap profile, combined with a lifting roof and height adjustment to facilitate side loading and adapt the trailer height to the fifth-wheel height. In addition, the driving height can be adjusted in five 25-millimetre increments at the front of the trailer and one 50-millimetre increment at the rear. As a result, it is possible to drive the current fifth wheel heights for low-deck semi-trailer trucks, depending on the respective national legal requirements.
Drivers confirm the high quality of the Kögel Mega trailers
As well as being highly practical, the Kögel trailers also offer high quality, durability and an unbeatable weight advantage. The drivers of the Mega semi-trailer combinations agree. “Feedback on the Kögel Mega trailers has been overwhelmingly positive,” confirms the Director of the TQM Goods Transport division. All ten of the new Megas with TQM's distinctive yellow tarpaulin feature high-quality, practical equipment. This includes a lift on the first axle and a 720-millimetre steel chequer plate to protect the trailer floor from damage by forklift trucks where the run-on plate of the ramp ends, as well as an additional galvanised steel plate as bump protection for the standard aluminium front wall. Multiple toolboxes provide storage space for all the necessities and two “Swedish spare wheel holders” provide easy access to a spare wheel.
The TQM Group operates its own service point in the Silesian region: the TQM Truck Service. They are authorised partners of Kögel, and therefore part of a network of around 1,000 service partners across Europe affiliated with the Burtenbach-based trailer manufacturer.
